Audiences will be immersed in an evening of rhythm, melody, and dance with performances by Jhenkaara (Carnatic devotional), Ajay Siva (mridangamist), Vinutha Ramakrishnan (Carnatic violinst), Sur Taal Sangam (Hindustani classical), Swara’s Mahathi Chithi (Carnatic flautist), Nrutha Aaloka (Indian fusion dance), and Surabhi Fusion (Carnatic fusion). Together, they will create an unforgettable journey of music and devotion ending in danceable Indian film music.

Mahati Chitti is a Carnatic flautist from New Jersey and an incoming junior at Rutgers Business School, double majoring in Finance and Economics. She has been learning Carnatic flute for nine years under Dr. Manda Anantha Krishna and holds a distinction certificate from Sampada, Silicon Andhra University. Mahati regularly performs across the tri-state area and is passionate about making classical music more accessible to younger audiences.
Surabhi Fusion, led by Vasanti Anand (an active West Windsor Arts and community volunteer, and organizer for this event) beautifully blends the rich traditions of Carnatic music with the vibrant tones of contemporary Western global genres such as rock, jazz, pop, etc (east meets west). Vasanti aims to make the complex art form more accessible to a wider, global audience by incorporating relatable contemporary elements, while still retaining the core essence of Carnatic traditions.
Vasanti Anand, the lead of Surabhi Fusion, brings to life a kaleidoscope of sound that flows from the South to the North of India. Blending the rich traditions of Indian classical music with powerful storytelling, performances will shines in the festive spirit of Diwali—celebrating the epic tales of Lord Ram and the radiant Devis.

Jhenkaara is a South Indian Carnatic classical music group based in West Windsor and led by Chaitra Arni. The group's mission is to share the ancient art form with the community by collectively exploring a diverse repertoire of classical songs (keertanas) set to various melodic structures (ragas) and rhythms (thaalam).
Ajaysiva Vaithiyanatha, aged 14, is residing in the township of Plainsboro, New Jersey. He has an experience of 6 years in playing the Mridangam, under the guidance of Guru Bhaskarabhatla Sri Rama Murthy in Hyderabad, India, in the Mahaguru Sri Palani Subramania Pillai Bani. He has won multiple prizes from International Carnatic and
Mridangam Competitions, in addition to accompanying a Carnatic/Hindustani Jugalbandi Fusion, hosted by Heritage Arts Academy; Smt. Yoshita Chandraani. Finally, Ajaysiva is also learning Carnatic Vocal from Smt. Vandana Krishnamoorthy and Naama-Sankeer-Thanam Music, from Sri Karthik Gnaa-neshwar Bhagavathar, Chennai.

Meena is dedicated to introducing her students to a diverse range of dance forms and folk traditions, providing them with a rich and fulfilling educational experience.
Deepak Dobhal is the founder of Sur Taal Sangam organization. A full time IT professional, he is an avidly passionate musician! A West Windsor resident since 2017, he started his musical journey in high school where he got introduced to Instrumental Indian Classical Music by his first guru – late Shri Pashupatinath Pathak. For the last 5 years, he has been learning Hindustani classical music under the tutelage of Smt. Indrani Chakraborty Khare and recently started Harmonium training under the guidance of Sh. Kedar Naphade.
Deepak regularly performs at many public & private events in tri-state area. His past performances include some prestigious venues such as Saint Peter’s University (Jersey City) & Princeton University NJ. Recently he did his first full concert as a lead vocalist which brought live music and dance across a variety of Indian music genres on the stage.
Not limiting his music to himself, Deepak teaches & composes music as well. More importantly, he has been creating and supporting a series of events to create opportunities for artists of all levels – from early-stage students to professional concerts of accomplished senior artists of international fame.
