West Windsor Arts, in collaboration with the Historical Society of West Windsor and acclaimed author/historian A. Brad Schwartz (“Broadcast Hysteria”), is bringing a unique theatrical experience to life—and you can be a part of it!
We’re seeking passionate community members, history buffs and arts supporters to help us stage this electrifying new play.
This interactive, thought-provoking and wildly entertaining production will explore the lasting impact of Orson Welles’ legendary 1938 “War of the Worlds” broadcast—an event that shook the nation and left an unforgettable mark in West Windsor, NJ.
With humor, audience participation and a fresh look at media influence—both then and now—this project will challenge us to reflect on the power of storytelling, misinformation and the relevant concept of "fake news."
We’re thrilled to announce that Greg T. Nanni has joined the project, and development of an original new play is already underway!
Greg T. Nanni is a playwright, comic book writer, dramaturge, educator, solo show performer and former Philadelphian now living in the New York City area. His work spans the stages of Philadelphia and beyond, with solo shows like “Fat” and “The Depression Show!” as well as full-length plays including “Loneliness,” “The Beat Is Here” and “Rage.”
A graduate of George Washington University and recipient of an MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University (2022), Greg brings a bold, insightful voice to everything he touches. He has collaborated with artists like Kristina Wong, served as literary manager for the Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium, and taught with companies like Two River Theater and Horizon Theatre Company.
Greg’s dynamic, genre-bending style and deep curiosity about media and society make him the perfect match for this project.
