Artist Statement:
This craft grew from my love (maybe obsession) of scent, but over the last year, it became clearer that access to those products is becoming less affordable. It is my passion to create scents that inspire, calm, and remind us of our past, present, and futures yet to be. What's even better is creating these products with ingredients you can trust and feel good about using in your home or sharing with others! The final outcome has become a family endeavor: my 10-year-old son designed the bird, my husband manages the printing, and I spend hours in the basement heating, mixing, cooling, and listening to the musical artists who inspire me along the way.
Artist Bio:
Lisa is a schoolteacher in Solebury, PA and lives with her family up the river in the humble village of Point Pleasant. She's worked in education for 15 years; before shifting careers into teaching others, Lisa worked as an education and investigative news reporter at the Trenton Times. She fancies herself a creative and giving spirit who gets excited over the small things in life.
