Navratri, the nine-day celebration of divine feminine power, is a vibrant tradition in South India. Traditionally, families display intricately arranged dolls and heirlooms, creating a festive and communal atmosphere. Community members visit each other’s displays and perform traditional songs for the dolls. All are welcome to sing whether they have formal training, or not.
This year, West Windsor Arts is thrilled to once again present a Golu that reflects our community’s diversity and creativity. This year’s Golu will be crafted by local community members led by Priya Senthil and will feature a more traditional, but still impressive, display. This event is a fundraiser for West Windsor Arts.
Immerse yourself in the beauty and symbolism of the Golu and experience the rich cultural heritage of our community—while helping sustain the arts and education programs at West Windsor Arts! Your $5 registration helps us cover basic costs, but it’s the generosity of additional donations that makes it possible to keep programs like this alive and thriving. Every dollar you give beyond your registration directly supports cultural events, artist opportunities, and creative learning experiences for all.
Whether you're familiar with Navratri or new to the tradition, we invite you to join us for this extraordinary event.
